The SCADA layer communicates with PLCs and intelligent field devices rather than replacing their deterministic control. Process graphics display AHUs, pressure cascades, chilled water, compressed gases and production-support utilities with live operating values. Alarm summaries, sequence-of-events records and historical plots allow engineering staff to diagnose a change from the same workstation.
