The duct static pressure sensor combines a properly oriented wall pickup with a low-pressure transmitter. The pickup opening is arranged to minimize direct exposure to velocity pressure, allowing the transmitter to represent duct static condition. A flexible tube connects the pickup to the protected electronics outside the duct. The resulting analog or digital signal supports supply-fan control, high-pressure alarm and diagnosis of restricted or undersupplied duct sections.
