Introduction de produit

This replacement damper actuator combines an electric rotary drive and a stored-energy return spring in one elongated direct-coupled housing. During powered movement, the drive turns the universal clamp and simultaneously loads the return mechanism; loss of supply releases the spring to move the connected air damper toward its selected fail-safe position. A visible pointer supports position checks, while the single manual-release control assists setup when permitted by the selected actuator design. The attached two-hole anti-rotation bracket restrains the housing against drive torque, and the gland-sealed pigtail provides an orderly wiring interface. Replacement selection is based on required torque, shaft geometry, fail-safe direction, control signal, supply voltage and available mounting clearance rather than enclosure appearance alone.

Key Features

A mechanical spring-return mechanism moves the coupled air damper toward a defined safe position when actuator power is removed.

The universal V-bolt shaft clamp accepts a practical range of round or square shafts without adding an external crank linkage.

One attached anti-rotation bracket prevents the actuator body from following shaft rotation and provides two fixed equipment-mounting points.

A visible position pointer, manual-release control and gland-protected lead keep commissioning and replacement checks accessible at the installed drive.

A retrofit actuator must reproduce the original mechanical travel, fail-safe action and electrical behavior; matching only torque or body size can leave the damper unreliable.

A replacement with insufficient torque may stop before a sealed damper reaches its end position, particularly after linkage wear or blade contamination.Actuator torque is selected from damper area, shaft arrangement, seal friction and the damper manufacturer's sizing allowance, with appropriate service margin.
The spring may return the blade in the wrong direction during a power interruption.Fail-open or fail-closed action is established from the ventilation sequence, then the actuator mounting orientation and preload direction are set accordingly.
An apparently similar actuator may use an incompatible supply voltage or control input.Supply, on/off or modulating signal, rotation direction, travel time and any auxiliary-switch requirement are compared with the existing control circuit before connection.
A loose clamp or unsuitable anti-rotation point can cause shaft slip, housing movement and inaccurate blade position.Shaft dimensions, clamp engagement, V-bolt tightening, bracket alignment and two fixing points are checked together through a complete powered and spring-return stroke.
