Wet Electrostatic Precipitator removes fine dust, acid mist and tar droplets from industrial gas streams, helping reduce the aerosol load carried into downstream ducts and the stack. High-voltage discharge charges the particles and droplets, which move onto collecting surfaces within the electric field.
The upper spray system washes deposits into the lower collection sump for drainage. Keeping the collected material wet reduces dust re-entrainment during cleaning and helps remove sticky residues from the electrodes. The stainless steel assembly is custom-made for the gas conditions and installation layout.
FEATURES
Top-mounted sprays rinse the collection surfaces and discharge electrodes, carrying accumulated dust, tar and mist residues into the lower sump.
The open electrostatic collection section limits resistance to gas flow, helping control the extraction fan’s energy demand.
Automatic monitoring cuts power and triggers audible and visual alarms for short circuits, overcurrent or excessive oxygen content.
The vertical assembly includes a ladder, inspection doors and accessible pipework for servicing the collection section, sprays and drainage.
APPLICATIONS
Collect condensed tar droplets and fine dust from gas lines conditioned for wet electrostatic treatment.
Capture acid mist and other aerosol droplets in process exhaust, with stainless steel and wetted components selected for the gas chemistry.
Treat fine particulate and mist remaining in cooled, conditioned flue gas after upstream bulk dust removal.
Add fine-particle and mist collection after gas conditioning to reduce residual carryover toward the stack.
CUSTOM CONFIGURATION
Gas volume, temperature, moisture, particle or droplet load and chemistry guide the collection area, electrical configuration and material selection.
Plan the spray-water supply, residue drainage, duct connections and maintenance clearance together so washing and inspection remain accessible in service.
FAQ
The collection stage uses electrical charging and water washing without a chemical absorbent. Water quality and residue handling are planned with the plant’s water-treatment system.
Dust and droplets accumulate on the collecting surfaces, then wash down into the sump. The drain transfers the liquid and captured residue to the site’s treatment system.
