Hybrid Spray Tower Cyclone Scrubber washes paint mist and sticky, oily or fibrous particles out of industrial exhaust before they reach downstream treatment equipment. Its swirling air-and-water contact zone transfers particles into the circulating liquid, reducing the residue that can coat later treatment surfaces and obstruct airflow.

The wash water collects in an accessible tank, where settled residue can be removed through the cleanout area. A packing demister separates carried-over droplets before the gas leaves the unit. This combines wet collection, residue handling and mist separation in one enclosure for processes where dry collection media are prone to loading with sticky deposits.

OPERATING PROCESS

From captured exhaust to wet separation

Draw exhaust into the mixing zone

An extraction fan draws the collected exhaust through the inlet and flow guides. The resulting swirling flow brings particles into close contact with the wash liquid.

Separate captured material from the gas

Particles contact the liquid during rotation; centrifugal separation directs the particle-bearing liquid toward the collection area, while the gas continues through the treatment stages.

Collect residue and recirculate water

Solids settle in the lower tank for removal. The pump returns water to the spray circuit, reducing fresh-water demand compared with a once-through washing arrangement.

Remove entrained droplets

The hollow-sphere packing demister intercepts droplets carried in the gas stream, reducing liquid carryover into the outlet duct and subsequent treatment equipment.

FEATURES

Designed around wet residues and service access

Stainless steel enclosure

The stainless steel body provides a rigid, heat-resistant and non-combustible enclosure around the wet process. Access panels allow the treatment sections to be reached for cleaning and maintenance.

Accessible sediment collection

The hopper and tank cleanout concentrate residue handling in the lower section. Removing accumulated sludge helps keep solids from building up in the circulating-water path and obstructing pump or spray passages.

Inlet direction suited to the site

The inlet can be arranged in one of three directions to match the incoming duct route. This helps avoid unnecessary duct detours around the enclosure while keeping the service side accessible.

APPLICATIONS

Exhaust streams that carry difficult particulate

01

Spray-painting workshops

Capture paint overspray in booth exhaust before the remaining gas proceeds to the treatment stages selected for its gaseous pollutants.

02

Processes with sticky or oily dust

Wet-separate water-compatible particulate in industrial exhaust where deposits can rapidly load dry filters and coat downstream surfaces.

03

Fiber processing and trimming areas

Collect water-compatible airborne fibers in a liquid circuit where fibrous accumulations make dry collection difficult to maintain.

SELECTION

Match the wash process to the exhaust

Particle behavior and liquid compatibility

Particle size, loading, stickiness and behavior in water determine the wet-contact arrangement and residue-handling needs; airflow alone does not define the treatment duty.

Fan and downstream treatment

Match the extraction fan to the combined resistance of the hood, ductwork, scrubber and later equipment. Select any gas-treatment stage for the pollutants remaining after particulate removal.

Water and cleaning access

Allow working space at the tank cleanout and access panels. Maintain the water level, remove settled sludge and manage water replacement according to the collected residue.

FAQ

Planning the treatment line

Where does the scrubber sit in the exhaust system?

It receives ducted exhaust from the collection point and removes particulate before the following gas-treatment stages. The fan position and duct arrangement are selected as part of the complete line.

How is collected material removed?

Captured solids collect with the wash water and settle in the lower tank. Periodic cleanout removes the residue, while usable water returns to the spray circuit.
