Activated Carbon Adsorption Box-1 combines activated carbon and UV photo-oxidation to treat suitable organic vapours and odours collected from production processes. The carbon holds adsorbable gas molecules within its porous structure, while the UV section supports treatment of reactive compounds. Together, these stages address gaseous contamination that a dust filter alone cannot capture.
The drawer arrangement gives maintenance access to the carbon blocks. It suits ducted exhaust projects where operators need both gas treatment and practical media replacement, with the cabinet size selected for the extraction flow and available installation space.
FEATURES
Activated carbon captures compatible vapours on its internal surfaces, helping reduce odour carried along the exhaust route.
The enclosed UV section adds photo-oxidation to the media treatment process. Filtration, oxidation and adsorption perform different jobs within the cabinet.
Pull-out carbon compartments allow the media to be reached for inspection and replacement while the cabinet remains connected to the ductwork.
APPLICATIONS
Treat compatible solvent and adhesive vapours collected from printing, drying, coating or bonding work, with paint mist and droplets removed upstream.
Treat suitable organic vapours from enclosed mixing or material-transfer exhaust branches, with media selected for the compounds being handled.
Address odorous organic exhaust from mixing and forming operations after cooling or particle separation where the process requires it.
Treat compatible vapours from parts cleaning, coating and adhesive use at the extraction outlet serving those operations.
Consider compatible organic exhaust from associated finishing processes after suitable cooling and dust separation.
SELECTION AND UPKEEP
The shorter configuration takes less floor length. The higher-airflow configuration provides more carbon blocks, drawers and UV tubes, and needs space for the longer cabinet and drawer withdrawal.
Match the carbon and UV treatment to the gas composition, concentration, temperature and humidity. Remove heavy dust, oil mist and droplets before they foul the treatment surfaces.
Schedule carbon replacement from the contaminant load and outlet condition. Keep filters and lamp surfaces clean so deposits do not restrict airflow or shield the UV section.
FAQ
Start with the required extraction airflow and pollutant load, then allow space for the cabinet, duct connections and drawer servicing.
Carbon selection depends on the compound being captured; airflow, concentration and contact time also determine the treatment arrangement.
Use the exhaust operating conditions and outlet monitoring to plan replacement before the carbon loses effective adsorption capacity.
