Oil Fume Purifier treats grease-laden exhaust from cooking equipment using electrostatic precipitation. It charges fine oil droplets and smoke particles, then collects them on electrode plates, reducing the particulate grease carried into downstream ductwork and toward the exhaust outlet.
Mechanical pre-filtration intercepts larger droplets before the electrostatic collection stage. The removable cell arrangement allows deposited grease to be cleaned from the collection surfaces, helping restore collection performance as deposits accumulate.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The inlet filter intercepts larger oil droplets and particles, reducing the coarse grease load entering the electrostatic cell.
The high-voltage ionization zone charges suspended particles. The collection field then draws those particles onto electrode plates as the air stream passes through the unit.
Close-fitting collection components help direct the airflow through the treatment area, limiting untreated air bypass around the cell.
The electrode assembly can be removed for cleaning. Removing accumulated grease keeps collection surfaces available for the next operating cycle.
CONFIGURATION SELECTION
The shorter cabinet and smaller connection suit an exhaust duty matched to this airflow where installation space is more constrained. Its lower equipment weight also changes the support arrangement required.
The higher-airflow option uses a longer cabinet and larger connection. It suits systems with a greater exhaust duty, with additional space and support capacity allowed for the larger unit.
Select against the hood’s design airflow, duct resistance and fan duty. Provide suitable duct transitions and access clearance for removal of the collection cells.
APPLICATIONS
Collect oil droplets and smoke particles from exhaust serving frying, grilling and other grease-producing cooking stations.
Treat a suitably sized kitchen exhaust stream during repeated meal preparation, with cleaning intervals matched to grease loading.
Add a particulate grease-collection stage where an existing exhaust arrangement needs treatment before discharge, allowing for cabinet access and duct connections.
MAINTENANCE
Check the pre-filter and electrode cells regularly. Cooking method and operating hours determine how quickly grease deposits build up.
Service the removable assembly with the power isolated, following the unit’s cleaning and discharge instructions. Refit clean, dry components correctly before restarting.
Maintain the surrounding ductwork and exhaust fan as part of the same service routine so the purifier receives the intended airflow.
