Full Fresh Air Purification Unit filters and conditions incoming outdoor air to provide ventilation or replace air removed by exhaust systems. Treating the fresh-air load before distribution helps limit the particles, heat and moisture brought into the occupied or process space.
The modular MAU combines the filtration, coil, humidification, fan and sound-control sections needed for the project. This lets the air-treatment sequence follow the outdoor climate and indoor process requirements, rather than using the same arrangement for every building.
AIR TREATMENT
Build the air path around the duty
Particles and gaseous pollutants
Successive particle filters capture dust, fine particles such as PM2.5, and pollen. Where nitrogen or sulfur oxides and VOCs are a concern, add activated-carbon or chemical media selected for the target gases; electrostatic particle collection is another available option.
Heating, cooling and dehumidification
Coils adjust the incoming-air temperature and remove moisture during cooling. Preheating, precooling, further cooling and reheating can be arranged to reach the required supply condition using hot water, steam, electric heat, chilled water or DX cooling.
Humidification
Dry-steam, electrode, high-pressure spray, wetted-media and air-washing arrangements add moisture during dry conditions. Select the method for the airflow, moisture demand, water quality and hygiene needs.
Air delivery and sound control
Centrifugal or axial fans move air through the treatment stages. A variable-frequency drive adjusts the airflow, while silencers or acoustic materials reduce sound from the unit.
OPTIONAL SECTIONS
Additional treatment where the project needs it
Energy recovery
A rotary or plate heat exchanger can recover energy from an exhaust-air stream to reduce the incoming-air treatment load.
UV disinfection
A UV section can be included as an additional treatment stage alongside the selected filtration system.
Spray washing
A water-spray section can collect dust and exchange heat and moisture with the air. Cooling, humidification or dehumidification depends on the spray-water condition and the process arrangement.
APPLICATIONS
Fresh-air supply for occupied and process spaces
Hospitals and healthcare buildings
Provide treated ventilation air with filtration selected for the served area, adding sound attenuation where low operating noise matters.
Theatres and other quiet venues
Combine outdoor-air ventilation with acoustic treatment to reduce equipment noise near occupied spaces.
Production facilities
Prepare make-up air for areas with substantial exhaust or process ventilation, matching the supply condition to the room requirements.
High-airflow humidification duties
Combine the selected humidifier and filtration stages where a large outdoor-air flow needs moisture addition and controlled air cleanliness.
SELECTION
Size the modules as one system
Air and moisture loads
Base selection on outdoor conditions, ventilation and exhaust quantities, and the required supply-air temperature and humidity.
Filter and fan coordination
Match the fan to the resistance of the filters, coils, silencers and ductwork, allowing service access to filters and wet sections.
Services and maintenance
Coordinate heating and cooling connections, humidifier water services and condensate drainage. Maintain filters, fans and water-treatment sections according to the selected arrangement.
