Duct Silencer reduces fan noise transmitted along ventilation or exhaust ductwork. Its perforated inner lining exposes the sound to acoustic treatment while keeping an open air passage, reducing the duct-borne noise reaching occupied rooms or outlets.

Round, square and rectangular connections fit different duct sections. Custom silencer bends combine attenuation with a change of direction where a straight unit cannot fit.

MODEL DIFFERENCES

Which configuration fits the task

Round and rectangular formats

Match the opening to the duct or fan connection; the listed straight units share a length but have different passage areas and space requirements.

Straight unit or acoustic bend

A straight unit needs clear length along the duct, while a bend uses a turn in the route. Select the acoustic arrangement against noise frequency, airflow and available pressure.

DUCT NOISE CONTROL

Treat sound along the ventilation path

Perforated inner lining

The perforations expose sound to the acoustic treatment along the passage while retaining a metal inner surface.

Round and rectangular connections

Choose a shape that fits the duct or fan connection, making it easier to include attenuation in the planned route.

Custom silencer bends

A silencer bend can combine a change of direction with acoustic treatment where the route cannot accommodate a straight section.

APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTS

Limit ventilation noise reaching occupied areas

01

Offices and hotels

Reduce duct-borne fan noise reaching work areas and guest rooms where ventilation operates during work or rest.

02

Shopping centres and sports halls

Add attenuation to large ventilation routes to reduce background noise from the air system.

03

Hospitals and laboratories

Treat ventilation noise entering patient and work areas, with the lining and material selected for the room's hygiene needs.

04

Workshops and machine equipment

Connect to ducted equipment or fan systems to reduce the noise carried through their ventilation and extraction routes.

05

Clean production workshops

Reduce fan noise in supply or exhaust ducts using a construction matched to the system's cleanliness and cleaning requirements.

06

Mine ventilation

Provide fan-noise attenuation in mine ventilation routes with a construction selected for the specified operating conditions.

ACOUSTIC SELECTION

Balance noise reduction with airflow requirements

Noise frequency and airflow

Select the acoustic design for the fan's noise spectrum and airflow, considering sound reduction, pressure loss and noise generated by air passing through the silencer.

Duct route and installation space

Match the opening and length to the duct layout; use a custom bend where a straight silencer will not fit.

System operating conditions

Match the casing and lining to temperature, moisture and cleaning needs, including the specified duty for mine or smoke-exhaust systems.
