Backdraft Damper restricts reverse airflow through a duct when the associated fan stops. Pressure in the intended direction opens the blades; a reverse pressure difference encourages closure, limiting unwanted flow through an idle branch.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
The damper responds to the pressure across it without needing a separate electrical opening command.
A flanged casing fits between duct sections at the branch that needs reverse-flow control.
APPLICATIONS
Reduce air returning through a stopped fan while another connected branch operates.
Limit reverse drafts through a ventilation path between fan operating periods.
SELECTION GUIDANCE
Select the blade arrangement for horizontal or vertical airflow and keep the blades free to move; the installation direction is part of the mechanism.
