Manual Sliding Cold Room Door provides an insulated entrance for receiving and picking goods in chilled or frozen stores. The cast polyurethane body limits heat transfer through the closed leaf, while the inflatable rubber seal expands into contact with the frame to close perimeter gaps. This reduces unwanted warm air entry and cold air loss, helping the refrigeration system maintain the storage temperature between stock movements.
The operator releases the seal before moving the door by hand along its rail, then closes and seals the entrance after passage. Releasing the seal reduces rubbing during movement; horizontal travel keeps a swinging leaf out of the stock-handling approach. The wall beside the opening must remain clear for the door to slide.
PRACTICAL BENEFITS
Inflation brings the rubber seal into contact with the frame, reducing air exchange around the closed door.
Releasing the inflatable seal before sliding allows movement without dragging the expanded seal against its contact surface.
Rail-guided sideways travel keeps the swing arc out of the route used by goods and trolleys.
APPLICATION ENVIRONMENTS
Allow staff to open the entrance for ingredient trolleys and restore the insulated, sealed boundary after picking.
Provide hand-operated access for stock receiving and retrieval while limiting closed-door heat gain.
Use a sliding entrance where goods move between a cooled room and an adjoining handling area with limited swing space.
SELECTION GUIDE
Keep shelving and stored goods outside the leaf’s travel, and match the clear opening to the largest load.
Plan the air connection and seal operation with the doorway: the seal engages after closure and releases before sliding.
An aligned frame and guided leaf allow consistent seal contact when closed and clear movement when released.
COMMON QUESTIONS
The operator moves the leaf by hand along the sliding rail; manual operation describes the door movement.
Deflation removes the expanded seal from its contact surface, reducing dragging and rubbing as the leaf moves.
Yes. Custom dimensions can be matched to the loads and the available side travel space.
