Class II Biological Safety Cabinet provides a ventilated work zone for biological sample handling, combining inward air at the front opening with filtered downflow over the work. This airflow arrangement supports operator, sample and environmental protection during procedures appropriate to the selected cabinet configuration.
The work surface, front opening and air grilles form one working system. Keeping grilles clear and separating clean materials from used items helps preserve the intended airflow during routine handling.

MODEL DIFFERENCES
The 1000 mm-wide work zone serves the listed one-operator arrangement with recirculating A2 airflow.
The wider A2 work zone provides the listed two-operator arrangement while retaining the same recirculating air principle.
This one-operator format uses total exhaust and requires the corresponding building-exhaust arrangement.
The wider total-exhaust version gives two operators more working width and must be coordinated with the required external exhaust system.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
Inward airflow at the access opening helps contain aerosols generated within the working zone.
Downflow supplies filtered air over the work to limit particles reaching exposed samples.
A clear clean-to-used sequence reduces unnecessary movement across open samples and keeps return grilles unobstructed.
APPLICATIONS
Carry out procedures selected for the cabinet type and the laboratory's biological risk assessment.
Use a commissioned cabinet for manipulations that need a controlled air barrier around the operator's access.
SELECTION GUIDANCE
Match cabinet type and exhaust arrangement to the agents and chemicals used in the procedure.
Use the specified sash position and include airflow and filter checks in the laboratory's cabinet maintenance programme.
